Uganda to host international vocational education conference

The four-day conference will officially be opened by the education minister Maj. (Rtd) Jessica Alupo and is expected to bring together delegates from the Eastern and Central African states.

The conference will also attract experts in technical and vocational education and training fields, education assessors, policy makers, academicians, researchers and practitioners in the technical field.

It will be held under the theme, “The role of technical and vocational education and training in building regional economies.”

This year’s regional conference hosted by UBTEB and being held in Uganda will provide opportunities for people interested in vocational education and training to meet and interact face-to-face,” according to a statement released by Paul Amoru, the national organising chairperson. He is also UBTEB’s principal public relations officer.
